GSR - Rare birds verification group

In order to be accepted into the ornitho.it archive and used in its analyses, records of certain rare species not subject to review by the Italian Records Committee (COI) require additional details.

These records are flagged with a question mark and a white triangle, and are temporarily isolated from the main archive until they are reviewed. This does not mean that such records are thought to be erroneous, but rather that they require additional details that will be evaluated by an ad hoc group of ornithologists/reviewers specialized in rarities; the membership of the GSR partly overlaps with that of the COI.

The members of the GSR are:

Emiliano Arcamone,  Nicola Baccetti,  Mattia Brambilla, Andrea Corso, Igor Festari, Marcello Grussu, Marco Gustin, Ottavio Janni (GSR coordinator), Stefano Laurenti, Ariele Magnani, Diego Rubolini, Lorenzo Vanni

Please download the form, carefully fill out at least the parts in red, and send it to the GSR coordinator, Ottavio Janni
